Dr James Bellini Futurologist
James is a business analyst, broadcaster, writer and futurist with a strong focus on the changing shape of the future consumer marketplace and its implications for business strategy.
During his varied career James has worked for leading London advertising agencies, including several years as Chairman of a corporate communications consultancy managing clients such as IBM, Barclays, Thomas Cook and the tourist boards of the Isle of Man and the English Riviera.
His current interests embrace the impact of new technologies, virtual organisations and social networking trends on consumer attitudes and workplace dynamics.
After a brief spell as a university teacher James was invited to join the US-headquartered 'think tank' the Hudson Institute as its first British member, helping to run their new European division in Paris. He subsequently worked with BBC TV as a presenter of The Money Programme, Newsnight and Panorama before moving on to ITV, where he broadcast for a number of independent networks as studio presenter and documentary maker.
James has written numerous books and special reports on social, political and business topics with a futurist perspective. A recent commission was to assess the future of family lifestyles in the Britain of 2020. In 2003 he was appointed to the European Advisory Board of the Global Future Forum. He now spends much of his time speaking about the future for business to audiences around the world.
In the past few years he has worked with many leading commercial names, including Hewlett Packard, IBM, PepsiCo, NCR, Microsoft, Skillsoft, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Ernst & Young.
